TCPalm: Number of Brightline rail fatalities slowly rising

If you're keeping count, the number is six.

That's how many people have been killed by Brightline passenger trains since the rail company launched service between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach in January.

The latest fatality occurred Wednesday evening in Boynton Beach. Police said a northbound train struck and killed a man on the tracks between East Gateway Boulevard and Miner Road.

Last year, two people were struck and killed during Brightline test runs. Those deaths were ruled suicides…
