CALL TO ACTION
Members,
It has come to our attention that during their next meeting on Tuesday, January 9th at 9:00AM, the Martin County Board of County Commissioners plan to take up an agenda item regarding an update from staff related to All Aboard Florida/Brightline.
It is important that we attend this meeting to encourage our commissioners to stay the course in our joint efforts related to the ill-conceived All Aboard Florida/Brightline project.
Now is not the time to abandon these legislative efforts. We must encourage our Martin County commissioners to continue to stand alongside CARE FL and Indian River County in this important work.
Your attendance at this meeting will also provide an opportunity for CARE FL and its members to show our support for Senator Debbie Mayfield and Representatives MaryLynn Magar and Erin Grall, who for the second year have filed legislation to address safety and costs concerns in our region related to high speed rail.
Below are the details of Tuesday’s commission meeting. We look forward to seeing you there. And as always, thank you for you continued support.
