New review needed of Brightline passenger rail project

But it should.

Martin and Indian River counties and the citizen group CARE FL have asked the U.S. Department of Transportation to mandate a supplemental environmental report on the All Aboard Florida/Brightline passenger rail project.

In a 24-page letter to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, Treasure Coast officials contend the final environmental impact statement — issued in August 2015 — was "grossly deficient at the time" and fails to reflect "changes in circumstances" that have occurred the past two years…
