Rick Scott Chooses Michael Dew to Lead FDOT

On Monday, Gov. Rick Scott appointed Michael Dew to lead the Florida Department of Transportation. Dew replaces Jim Boxold who left the post earlier this year.

Dew has been part of Scott’s team since the governor took over in Tallahassee in 2011. Starting off as Scott’s director of external affairs, Dew moved over to the Department of Corrections where he served as chief of staff. At the start of Scott’s second term in January 2015, Dew took over as chief of staff of the Florida Department of Transportation.
