Man struck, killed by train in Jensen Beach

JENSEN BEACH — A man died Monday night after being struck by a train near downtown Jensen Beach, a Martin County Fire Rescue spokesman said.
Fire rescue crews were called at 7:25 p.m. to the incident at Northeast Jensen Beach Boulevard and Pineapple Ave., said Dan Wouters, fire rescue spokesman. The Florida East Coast train was heading south when it struck the man, said sheriff's spokeswoman Christine Christofek. The identity of the man was not immediately available. No other information was available and the incident remains under investigation.
Jensen Beach Boulevard was closed to eastbound traffic for several hours at the roundabout.
