The passenger train service All Aboard Florida is closing a railroad crossing in Boynton Beach for two days as part of its preparations to introduce a new passenger service between Miami and Orlando.
Southeast 12th Avenue will be closed between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Thursday at the coastal railroad tracks that parallel Federal Highway.
All Aboard Florida is making improvements at the railroad crossing to accommodate the new passenger service to Orlando that’s expected to begin in 2017.
Drivers should take Seacrest Boulevard, Woolbright Road and Federal Highway as detours.
